Blue Screen of Death parody. Sad face. Your bags ran into a problem and need to restart. $BSOD paired with $MSFT on BNB Smart Chain. Stop code MEME_IN_KERNEL_MODE. What failed: $BSOD.sys.
Your bags ran into a problem and need to restart.
We're just collecting some dump, and then we'll restart for you.

DUMP 1The thesis
One of these has been crashing in public since 1995.
Since Windows 95 the personal computer has gone through AOL, the iPhone, cloud, crypto, and seven versions that were each supposed to be the stable one.
Over the same stretch, the most famous screen in computing has been a field of blue and a face that looks like it gave up.
Not a spinner.
Not a polite error dialog.
A full-screen stop.
The kernel changes. The blue does not.
Cultural uptime vs. the promise it wouldn't crash
1995 = year one. Every version was the stable one. The blue stayed on the chart. Illustrative. Not a stock chart. Not a crash dump.
- The BSOD, as a personality
- People who said this version is stable

$BSOD is the token for people who have already waited at this screen. Paired with $MSFT, because of course it is.
DUMP 2The lore
It's been on stage. It's been in every cubicle. It has never stopped being blue.
In 1995 a PC could paint the whole screen blue and call it a stop.
In 1998 the crash happened in front of a live audience, which is how a bug becomes folklore.
In 2012 somebody drew a sad face on it, and the dump learned to emote.
The taskbar moved. The Start button hid. Cortana came and left. The blue screen kept the same job: halt everything, look you in the eye, and ask you to wait.
$BSOD is not Microsoft.
$BSOD is the joke that the joke is still true.
Event log
Thirty years of the same interrupt, in different clothes.
-
1995
Windows 95 ships. The stop screen becomes a household object.
A problem has been detected. Sit down.
-
1998
A live plug-and-play demo dies on stage. The blue goes prime time.
The crash that needed no marketing budget
-
2001
XP was supposed to be the polite one. The dump stayed in the kernel.
Friendly wallpaper. Unfriendly stop.
-
2012
They put a face on it. :( became the whole error.
The dump, now with feelings
-
2016
A QR code appears. Support is a camera roll away. Nobody scans it.
The most unread URL in computing
-
2021
A new desktop. Rounded corners. The crash still knows how to go full screen.
Fluent design, same interrupt

2026
BNB Chain put Microsoft on a contract. Somebody named a coin after the stop.
Unaffiliated. Still blue. Paired with $MSFT.
It has been to keynotes, call centers, LAN parties, airports, and the family PC that “just needs a restart.”
It has never needed a rebrand. It is the rebrand, accidentally.
DUMP 3Recovery
Startup Repair is open. Recovery takes four steps.
$BSOD trades on BNB Smart Chain (BSC), chain ID 56. The pool is paired with $MSFT — tokenized Microsoft. If you've used any EVM wallet before, you already know how this goes.
Dump collected since 1995. No safe mode required. Kernel optional.
0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Only ever trade the contract address shown on this page and on the official X. Anything else is a different stop code.
Start recovery
-
Get a wallet that knows BNB Smart Chain
Trust Wallet has it built in. MetaMask, Rabby and Binance Wallet work too: add the network in one click (chain ID 56; gas is paid in BNB).
Add BNB Smart Chain to your wallet → -
Get BNB onto BNB Smart Chain
Buy BNB on Binance and withdraw it on the BNB Smart Chain network. Or bridge from Ethereum or another chain. Keep a little BNB for gas — the dump does not run on ETH.
Open the BNB Chain bridge → -
Open PancakeSwap and paste the contract
$BSOD trades on PancakeSwap, paired with $MSFT. Paste the contract as the token you're buying (never search by name) and check it matches this page character for character.
Trade $BSOD on PancakeSwap → -
Swap into $BSOD
The pool is $BSOD / MSFT (yes, tokenized Microsoft). The router may hop through BNB into MSFT, then into the meme. Confirm in your wallet. Don't turn your PC off. Then hold it like a dump holds at 0%.

Not valid as a Microsoft support ticket.
By swapping you agree this is a meme, not an operating system, not a crash dump, not a Microsoft share, and not an official Windows screen.
The pair uses $MSFT. That $MSFT is still not a Microsoft share.
The recovery environment cannot be closed, because nobody is in charge.
DUMP 4The minidump
Everything in the bugcheck.
Fixed supply. Paired with $MSFT on BNB Smart Chain. No owner, if the contract actually renounced. Liquidity locked if the launchpad actually locked it. Itemised below the way WinDbg would do it, if WinDbg listed tickers.
